Bursting with nutrients, kale is one of the most nutritious vegetables. It makes a tasty addition to soups and smoothies; you can saute it, eat is as a side dish, or roast it for a snack. If you love this popular leafy green or think you might if you knew how to cook it, we'll review the varieties of kale, including the newer baby kale, and learn how to use these greens in preparing everyday foods. Our instructor, Catherine Walthers, has spent six months testing kale every day in every way for her new book, Kale, Glorious Kale, and she comes to Kitchen Outfitters to share her secrets and best recipes with you. Come hungry! Catherine Walthers is a private chef in the Boston area and on Martha’s Vineyard where she has a teaching kitchen and gives cooking classes throughout the year. She is author of 4 cookbooks: Greens, Glorious Greens; Raising the Salad Bar; Soups + Sides; Kale, Glorious Kale. Cost $40.00 per Participant. Pre-Registration Required.
