Basic Cake Decorating with Mary Robichaud

Students will learn the basic skills of cake decorating, including making and filling a cake, frosting, leveling, edging and basic piping skills for decoration. You will also learn to make a delicious, smooth butter cream that you will want to use time and time again on all your cakes and cupcakes. Learn these tips and let your creativity go wild the next time you need a birthday cake for someone special. You will leave this class feeling that you CAN do this! Mary Robichaud is a 2005 graduate of Johnson & Wales University, Providence, RI from the Baking and Pastry Arts program, and is owner of Gourmet Gateau, a small referral based business. She began baking at an early age with her grandmother and has continued all through her life. In the fall of 2002, after her two grown daughters left the nest, Mary decided to go back to school and take her baking to the next level. $50 per student, registration required. Call 978-263-1955
