Our Ideal Customer
My ideal customers include businesses with 15-20 or more employees operating in Alabama, as that is the threshold for application of several of the federal employment laws (FMLA is 50+ employees). If you have any employment law-related questions, I welcome your call or email.
I am an employment law and litigation attorney. I counsel businesses with employees in Alabama on their obligations and rights under a wide variety of employment laws, including the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act, and many others. I defend businesses against administrative charges and lawsuits arising under these laws, as well. I also defend businesses against premises liability claims and other general liability claims, and I offer services as outside general counsel for businesses.

I vigorously, yet prudently, defend businesses against employment law claims asserted by their employees and job applicants, including claims arising under the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Section 1981 of the Civil Rights...
I defend business, and when applicable, their officers or other employees, on claims that are covered by their Employment Practices Liability Insurance or Commercial General Liability Insurance policies.
I defend businesses with physical locations in Alabama against slip and fall and other premises liability claims asserted by their patrons or guests, and sometimes trespassers.
I served as an associate and then acting general counsel for 3.5 years previously, so I understand the wide variety of legal issues and challenges that businesses routinely face that may not warrant retention of outside counsel. I bring this experience to bear for businesses who do not have or...
