I would bet your concern is probably not the real problem you have with a web site or marketing. A Web site lets any person or business appear larger than life.
What you can do is find out what makes you the best choice for your potential customers and be sure to ask your past customers what they liked about you and the service. Then let the world know LOUDLY. Spend some time to learn to sell yourself and how to really your products or services for the most money.
Companies using the web sell their services for more money than those that do not because they appear more professional. It is not that they have to sell for more because they have a web site!
The more service you provide the more you can and should charge. Be the best you can at what you do and word will get around.
I did not find it frustrating at all and the cost was very small compared to my marketing system that was no longer viable as it was getting more and more epensive. I looked until I found a person who was not trying to get rich quick and knew how to code 15 years ago and helped me to make my idea a reality.
Now days you can just use a mobile friendly template and get all the work you can handle and hosting is cheaper than a one day add in a newspaper that is not longer regarded as valuable. The cost of finding a place to hang your sign in the world market place is very very low! One initial investment will pay it self back for many years. Just make sure the SEO is done for your business needs and wants and that you communicate why people should contact you. Then you will find it is the cheapest marketing investment you will make and wish you had just done it.
A web site is like having your own page in an old fashioned Sears catalogue.

Run your own add, use social media or networks. I hire people that promote themselves or respond to specific ads, as they are more likely to be motivated and problem solvers. If the question refers to position that is no longer needed as in new technology replacing old ones, it means a broader search or as others suggested in this forum looking at what you may be able to do that is valuable and aligns with your purpose. It is best to do something you like. Self employment is difficult for many to confront or consider as the time required is extensive at least to start and requires learning many new skills e.g: marketing, costing, sales and hiring and training help. And that assumes you know how to do what ever service or skill it is you plan to offer.

Assuming the other companies are doing professional work and have comparable products- Why not simply deliver much better service? Start a campaign to do this on every level
Great, honest and friendly service is the best promotion. Staff needs to be genuine and happy.
Word gets around fast if customers are unhappy or really happy! Look to replace any staff that is phoney
Service -not price is the major key to long term Sustainability in business. Price will rise with high demand
Work out with each staff, how they can deliver their best high quality service and how they can help the customer to experience great service
Sales people can repeat the message over and over and treat customers like treasured assets. Be genuine and flourish. Customers will be happy and It will be natural for your group to become number one in the area.

There is no one answer to this question but there is better ways to look at life.
Without a leader, team winning is hampered. The reason why games like sports, and business games pay their leaders monster sized salaries is they can bring intention to be successful into the group. An orchestra needs a conductor and behind the scene a musical genious to make it a great event. If one does their best today they can do a bit better tomorrow but only if they intend to do better. Then everyone can win. Progressing toward ones goals is the real game.
Managers in life are invaluable as they create and keep organized the people that have specific knowledge and skills in bigger games. Leaders can see past the barriers and push toward the goal and that alone can help others to become better at winning.

I feel we must all be our own advisors. Being over whelmed is not good for anyone. My advice is to try to avoid seeking or accepting sympathy as best you can. That will help you more than anything and help you find clarity

Being connected and feeling obligated to others with similar huge losses can keep you feeling low and overwhelmed instead of helping you recover.
Instead take a daily walk and focus outward on the environment untill you feel better and better.
You can also look at all the positive thkngs you have done.
Then when you are ready look at what you want to do and decide
Dont set any limits on yourself.
