Our mission at the Whole Care Network is to create a media network by collaborating with trusted vendors for caregivers and their employers in order for the family caregiver to receive certifiable information and referral to assist their needs. This important task will be accomplished by enhancing an already established social media presence while building trusted partnership from across the country with family caregiver and vendors through terrestrial radio, dedicated podcasts, personalized landing pages, corporate training and development on issues that impact return on investment for both the caregiver employee and employer.
How We Got Started
I started the Whole Care Network based on my own experience as a working family caregiver and the passion that I have gained through advocacy and collaboration before, during and especially after caregiving has ended. While in the role as a family caregiver, I realized that it was difficult to find trusted information and resources that caregivers need daily. Most, if not all those trusted resources and referrals came directly from other family caregivers. Equally problematic, I experienced the difficulty of vendors and service providers to family caregivers not being able to adequately market to this unique group of consumers.
Our Ideal Customer
In January of 2016, an AARP report estimates that the caregiving market will grow 13% to become a $239 billion disruptive opportunity in 2016-2020. The Caregiving Innovation Frontiers study published in January of 2016, notes that by 2020, 117 million Americans are expected to need assistance of some kind, yet the overall number of caregivers is only expected to reach 45 million, resulting in an aggregated review opportunity of $297 billion between 2016-2020, with 80% being out-of-pocket spending from family caregivers. Our clients are direct service providers to family caregivers and their employers
