Her shop definitely has a lot of tidbits, but they're cute and unique. I used to visit her shop and look at the pieces of furniture, crafts and art she had for sale. I co-wrote a novel with one of my friends and we held our first book signing at the shop. Nadine was very accommodating, providing edible delights and space for the signing. I have always been appreciative of Nadine."

As far as character inspiration, it's a mix of family, friends and strangers, as well as some traits from people I've worked with over the years. When I wrote, "Dead Lies," for example, the protagonist's ex-wife, Eva, has some traits from a woman photographer I used to work alongside as a newspaper correspondent. Nothing scandalous, just a couple of things I noticed over the time working with her. And Eva is a photographer rival newspaper and Adam - the protagonist and ex-husband, is a reporter for that rival paper. I observe a lot so the majority of my characters' development rely on what I observe.
