About Us

My clients are children, adolescents, adults, and families. The children and adolescents often struggle with ADHD, learning disabilities, anxiety, depression, and social skills. Some are on the autism spectrum. Play is the language of children and best suits their need to express their inner world and learn new skills.

The adolescents bring a need to explore questions about themselves in relation to others and the larger world. They learn practical and creative ways to cope with stress, expectations, and disappointment. They grow in self-esteem and learn how to move their lives forward in meaningful ways.

Families usually seek therapy to help them communicate clearly, resolve conflict in constructive ways, solve sticky problems and foster more connection. I enjoy supporting families and parents of children with special needs or just families who want help at a challenging time.

Some adult clients come to therapy to address anxiety, depression, or ADHD. They feel stuck and want help making changes. Some are healing from a broken relationship, exploring their sexual orientation or looking for a new direction in life. Still others focus on their spirituality and personal growth.

Besides talk therapy, I incorporate play, creative expression, CBT, mindfulness and meditation into the work when appropriate.

COMING IN 2017: Small groups to address women’s issues, parenting, as well as coping skills/mindfulness for children.
