Restoring vintage radios and electronics, as we do, is a niche consumer service so word of mouth has been key. Also very useful has been to be involved in local organizations (in our case the New England Antique Radio Club) that can put you in front of potential customers and even provide referrals. I also work with related businesses such as antique dealers to make sure they know what we can do to help them sell their electronic items.

Most legitimate bankruptcy attorneys refer clients to me if bankruptcy is not the right solution. Many CPAs also refer clients to me, as do many pastors & ministers.

We find for our unique home watching/ preventative services requires trust between the home owners our company. Most of our referrals have been word of mouth and from the local chamber members. Some of the leads are from local real estate professionals who have sold a home, but the new owner will not be moving until several months of so. Yes we are open to any suggestions related to talking to new customers.
