Quickbooks Intuit is a great tool to run a small business. Many of my merchants love the accounting and the extra tools it allows them to run a business. And I will say the Customer Service is pretty good as well.

I was thinking that since we do work daily directly with many many accounting firms and merchants directly that use Quickbooks that although I don't know of any better Accounting software on the market, there is one area that I do need to bring to your attention. When opening a merchant account with Quickbooks directly their processing fees and rates... (more)

I have been using quickbooks for two separate businesses for a combined 12 years. It is not that easy to use. The Mac and Windows versions are different - and that created problems when using a CPA since you can't request an Accountants copy in my version of Mac QB.

I also do not enjoy being hounded to upgrade every few years. I'm a (very) small business and being expected to drop several hundreds of dollars on the disc version outright irritates me. Because if you wait long enough your version will literally stop working and you will be prompted to upgrade... (more)

I just said this same thing in another review, but personally, I HATE software that it not intuitive. This day and age, it is not acceptable. When you charge such a premium for your software, and your company name is "Intuit", there is little toleration for dumb. Sorry, just my perspective. It should NOT be this hard to just crunch numbers and keep track of finances. It should not be rocket science. There are things that you SHOULD be able to do in QB, but you can't. For instance, use your own credit card processor and have the transactions easily available... (more)

Just a note, we have used QB for many years, and I am good at learning software. Yes, they are still the king of the hill, but surely I'm not the only one here that is very disappointed in QB.

I just love Intuit Quickbooks! As a Real Estate agent it makes it so easy to log my miles, bank transactions & other business related expenses. Also, it is all right there at my fingertips when I go to file my taxes & synced with my Turbo Tax account.
