Both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online are great for small business owners. Transactions are easy to record and modify if needed. The only CONs are if accounts receivables and accounts payables are not recorded correctly, there can be quite a challenge in getting them corrected. You have to follow the payment and cash receipt process diagramed out by QuickBooks. Otherwise, your aged accounts payable and accounts receivable will not be correct. Both of these can be corrected – you just have to fill in the missing pieces.

You can either use the desktop version or the online version, depending on what level of access to the software is needed.

I do feel that their merchant services for credit card processing and their payroll services are a bit spendy for small business owners. But there are always work arounds to save money for these items.

If anyone has questions regarding this I am a Quick Books Pro... (more)
