A good travel agent that you contract with WILL research those difficult questions you have! I worked VERY HARD for my clients and when there were hotel snags overseas, I didn't just leave them hanging, I got them transferred to another hotel.

Any more, it's almost imperative to use a travel agent. Do you know what countries are "safe" and which ones aren't? And there are lots of agencies that do not charge for services - especially if your booking a package trip. The agencies are paid by the destinations.

I like to use The Travel Gals ( if I'm looking for a package trip, and they have an unbelievable number of destinations, in country and abroad.
