Over 9,000 Business Owners Rate Trustworthiness of 37 Key Brands in Alignable SMB Trust Index for Q2

By Dan Slagen · Posted on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 · Tagged in Online Marketing

BOSTON – July 19, 2016 – Alignable, the network for local business owners, has released the latest version of its SMB Trust Index, highlighting the Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and favorability rankings of key brands with data through Q2 2016. Comprised of more than 9,000 ratings from business owners in North America, the index consists of 37 brands, including WordPress, Mailchimp and Google as well as social media giants Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.

"We're thrilled small business owners feel comfortable sharing their sentiment toward SMB brands on Alignable, in ways that help other business owners make great decisions and succeed," said Eric Groves, Co-Founder and CEO at Alignable.

The Index goes beyond traditional NPS systems to show how key brands are valued and trusted by North American SMBs. While traditional NPS systems focus on what customers say about a brand, the Index captures what the business community is saying. This is a critical difference, because when local business owners are considering a new brand or vendor, they generally ask fellow business owners for opinions.

The SMB Trust Index is compiled every quarter. Only brands with at least 25 ratings are included. NPS scores are shown for brands with 50 ratings or more. Brands with less than 50 ratings are positioned where their score is currently trending. Alignable asks business owners how likely they are to recommend a particular brand on a scale of 0-10 to shed light into trust and satisfaction levels between brands and their target customer base.
