Murina from the answers below I don't think they have sold too many tickets to their events. Selling event is all about hustling every day and every minutes right up to the event starts. You need to call people and if you want 100 hundred people you need to call and contact 1500 people. Sometimes calling people 2 or 3 times if you don't talk them live. You can't be shy if you want a successful event.

An easy way to boost sales in not to focus on individual tickets sales but call larger companies and sell a table of 10 or 3 tables of ten to one company. Use... (more)

I would encourage you to look for a local PR person. I have worked with several over the years and they have always boasted my attendance. The kind of PR person I am talking about is not someone who writes PR pieces all day. They need to know the local community or profile of people you are trying to reach.
