With over 36,000 ratings across 100+ brands, the Trust Index is the go-to source for businesses owners to hear from each other about the most and least trusted brands they depend on to run their business.

The Trust Index uses the Net Promoter Score methodology to ask small business owners one simple question: On a scale of 1 – 10 (10 being the best score possible), how likely are you to recommend this brand to a fellow business owner? Since word-of-mouth and referrals are the lifeblood of small businesses, the Trust Index is your starting point for brand exploration, consideration, and selection. If you'd like more information, simply click on any of the brands listed here to engage in discussion with fellow business owners and get the answers you need.

For the fourth quarter in a row, Amazon is the most trusted brand amongst small business owners, followed this quarter by Stripe, Google, FedEx, and Apple to round out the top 5.

To better understand the opportunities business owners have available to them, each brand is associated with a category, for instance "digital marketing" or "websites." Note how many times specific categories show up in the top 20 most trusted list of brands as voted by small business owners:

The list of most trusted to least trusted categories business owners use to help achieve their goals are as follows:

Most Trusted:

- Computers & Apps
- Office Supplies & Services
- Websites

- Social & Digital Marketing
- Legal & Accounting Services
- Email Marketing
- Money & Banking

Least Trusted:

- Online Commerce
- Lead Generation & Management
- Communications
- Hiring
- Loyalty & Rewards
- Online Presence & Reputation

One area standing out in the infographic is the Net Promoter Score By Category - look at two categories where business owners need help the most. Online Presence & Reputation, as well as Hiring.

The good news is when it comes to Online Presence & Reputation and Hiring, Alignable is a great place to start.

With Alignable business profiles, you can take back control of your online presence and reputation. Your profile is fully customizable, allows you to edit what others see, and is completely free. For your hiring needs, start by asking all the business owners in your town and neighboring communities.

We hope you enjoy and benefit from the data this quarter! Remember to see all the latest brand ratings and reviews here, and click on the specific brands you need to learn more about and see what fellow business owners are saying.
