It is something I have wanted to do for awhile. I do have a Facebook page and kijiji ads, but have no direction to go with making a website. How much should I be paying for it? What company should I use? Etc.

I respect the fact that you are trying to save money and build a website yourself. If you want your website to work for you and attract your correct target audience, there are a lot of other things to consider than just building the website and making it look nice. Some of these DIY platforms limit your ability to go beyond just building a nice looking site. A lot of these 99 answers will tell you not to. The truth is, many of the free web site kits do a better job than the small one person design firms. Technology in DiY has come a long way. Answers to these questions determine the content on your website, they determine where you go to get people to your website, etc.

Let me know if you'd like to discuss this more over the phone. Perhaps we... (more)

www.webs.com and www.wix.com are both free websites. You can start out with it being free and I believe if you want to upgrade your package they give you options to pay. I've had my website with webs.com for 2 years and I love it.

Try www.wix.com or www.wordpress.com I would not spend thousands on a website you can't add to or modify often.
