Would Promoting A Condom On TV Be Appropriate?

ED drugs and pregnancy tests are promoted on TV. Why not condoms? In October, the NYTimes reported that STDs are on the rise. Condoms prevent STDs and life-threatening diseases, the others are just "conveniences." (Not to mention ads for hemorrhoid creams, toilet paper, vaginal douches, feminine "fresheners," tampons & menstrual pads, incontinence shields & garments, bladder surgery, ad infinitum.)

I am in total agreement. It is well past the time to shed the shame of discussing and promoting safer sex practices.

Zika virus is also emerging more and more, and there is a relaxation in the use of condoms.

I don't see why not. Women's hygiene products and couples lubricants, plus Viagra and Cialis have been advertising on TV for years. So appropriate? I think yes. But affordable may be another issue. Depends on your budget and comapny size, of course. I grew up with a father in advertising and I know TV can be very costly. Good luck!
