While there are so many reasons to hire a coach, including a different perspective to challenges, creating accountability for behavior changes and a safe human to be a sounding board around life's issues, when working with a TRAUMA INFORMED coach, you have an extra added advantage.
That advantage is the opportunity to release stored stress patterns (which is a form of trauma). These patterns are unconscious and incomplete until brought to light for healing through Somatic Experiencing Trauma Therapy. Once brought into awareness, they can be dissolved, freeing up life force energy to then be applied to creating the life you really want to live.
Stored stress patterns and trauma can show up as anxiety, depression, indecision, over-doing (drinking, working, eating, exercising), numbing out with devices, unfilled relationships and the inability to complete projects or goals.

I was born for this job. I love everything about working with people to find creative solutions to their most pressing problems, whether the problem is anxiety, depression, dating issues, marriage woes, unhappiness in a job, exercising dilemmas (what kind, how long, how to stick with it), a desire to lose weight without success or just feeling flat and ambivalent about life in general. I get those things because I've worked through them and on the way learned how to coach other people through them also.
I love the Somatic Experiencing journey I have been on for the last five years as it feels like the completion to a problem I've been trying to solve since I started personal training 20 years ago... That problem basically is: Why don't we do what we know we want to do to be healthy. The answer... unresolved trauma.
