Once while working for the Girl Scouts, the first woman Vice-Presidential candidate visited my city. I contacted her advance people and asked if a Girl Scout troop could meet her at the airport. They agreed and the night she came in she was greeted by a group of Girl Scouts giving her flowers. ...

Once while working for the Girl Scouts, the first woman Vice-Presidential candidate visited my city. I contacted her advance people and asked if a Girl Scout troop could meet her at the airport. They agreed and the night she came in she was greeted by a group of Girl Scouts giving her flowers. The next day that photo opportunity got national attention on every television media outlet. It cost the price of flowers to obtain all of that national publicity. This also gave the Girl Scouts an opportunity to show how current they had become.

After five minutes of careful consideration (LOL), I think I would want to be the worst player on the winning team. I could not only ask for advice from the smarter members (if they would answer) and I could ask them for people outside of the team who could help me with any of my weaknesses...

I may be a bit old school but who knows they may work. I suggest that you start talking to travel editors at your local appropriate radio stations and newspapers or in magazines you like. See what it would take to be interviewed. Your slant could be romantic trips, spa trips for women, men or...

See what it would take to be interviewed. Your slant could be romantic trips, spa trips for women, men or couples, trips away from winter, family trips or senior/veteran trips. Perhaps do deals for veterans or first-responders. Sell a trip on EBAY, List yourself on Craigslist under "Salon, Spa, Fitness and/or Food, Beverage and Hospitality, especially in cold areas of the country. You never know. Look for ways to advertise your business away from the crowd. How do you promote your blog? There is a lovely spa and resort called Miraval in Tucson, AZ. Maybe your readers or friends would want a trip there.
