About Us

Hello, I write children's books. Currently, I have three published novels. The first is TERROR'S IDENTITY, a young adult thriller which came out on January 1st, 2016. The second is EMILY'S RIDE TO COURAGE, a middle-grade coming-of-age horse story that came out on January 1st, 2018. The third one is EARTHQUAKES, an historical fiction young adult spy/murder/romance, came out in the middle of January 2020.

How We Got Started

I've always been a story-teller, but in 2004 I decided to try to get my books published. I quickly got accepted into magazines with non-fiction pieces, but then I set the goal of getting a book published. My first attempts were to try to get some picture books published, but I didn't quite get the books up to modern standards. Not that the editors didn't like my writing, they just didn't think the books would match their markets. Next, I wrote the book that I eventually published second. The first editor, at Dutton, pushed the book all the way up the editorial layers to the marketers who said that is was a good story, but that they already had a horse book in the works. My first attempt with PeachTree had the editor tell me to rewrite the story. I did that to the editor's liking only to have the book again end up with the marketers saying they had to horse book in the works.
That took the wind out my sails, but, but I'm a tough old broad, I finally decided to self-publish my novels.

My business is flat at the moment because I'm still new to the online marketing of my books. I'm working on it though. Good luck to everyone. (more) My business is flat at the moment because I'm still new to the online marketing of my books. I'm working on it though. Good luck to everyone.

Our disregard for other life forms, our disregard for keeping things clean and reusable, etc. So now that entity is showing us what we've done and what we need to do to make it better. Have you noticed that the level of atmospheric pollution is now down? The skies around the world are clearer? Other animals are feeling freer to roam about? Many of you won't agree with me and that's fine with me, but this is a thought I keep having.

My love of language and that I'm a good storyteller. An editor at Dutton told me one time that he thought oral storytellers make the best writers. I've always loved telling stories.
