(more) Hey Melvin, you can get through this with some creative “pivots” such as the following: - Pickup & Delivery shoe care. I stopped sitting for shoe shines years ago but love my shoes to be spot on. Drop or mail a smart business letter, hand signed to every office in the building as well as nearby buildings as there are still people stopping by their offices.  - Pivot to handbags, shoe care for things like Ugg cleaning, baseball gloves, etc. Remember that the sneaker trade is HUGE right now — for both new designs and classic styles. Offer a clean-up and repair service for kicks and get online with a simple website, setup GMB and Bing Places, etc — and start expanding your brand. Connect with other companies, as others have mentioned to partner with your services. - Add car sweat repair service to your repertoire. I just paid $275 to get my leather truck seat repaired (2 of the seat panels replaced and sewn) - Offer While-U-Wait shines either at people’s homes or at your existing location. Partner with a local coffee house and offer free coffee while they wait. - Drive-up shines for clients, where you show up at their house and do all their shoes in your car/truck. Volume discount for bigger quantity of items. Hand bags, Uggs, Sneakers, Baseball gloves, etc.  - Contact places that use leather often such as horse stables, about treating/maintaining their leather harnesses, etc.  - Contact local law enforcement to manage leather harnesses for their guns, etc.  - Google leather jewelry and fashion and you will see an enormous market — you can offer repair and cleaning or create your own small line of bracelets, etc and sell through Etsy, Shopify, etc.  - Millions of people have leather jackets, pants, etc. — offer quick and easy cleaning and maintenance for those items and I would also get a kit together and sell that for DIYers — include a simple instruction sheet, add YouTube video (great for SEO) and then add a free leather goods reminder service for when people should clean/treat their leather items — that way you get email addresses for new clients.  - If you are willing to pivot even further, you can add a car wash and detailing business — can be on-site at their home or drop-off plus obviously leather treatment for their interiors. Offer a subscription service so that every six months you’ll treat the interior dash and leather seats to keep them from drying out — so they stay healthy. People love their cars more than nearly everything else (that affection is ridiculous if you ask me, but hey, at least take advantage of it) — plus that’s part of the same demographic for office building shoe shines.  I could go on, but just wanted to toss out some suggestions. Good luck!!!

(more) Key difference between full-time employee vs contract (1099) worker as well as if the person will be local vs work remotely (even in a different country).  It's a great question and opens up a wealth of questions. Ironically, like with any legal contract, if the person is a legit, experienced and skilled worker, the contract will never need to be enforced.  That being said, as much guesswork as possible needs to be removed BEFORE your contract begins -- and honestly, the legal aspects are secondary to the project specifics plus operational plan along with guidelines. First, let's be honest -- how much experience do you, the business owner have with social media? Often our clients have minimal and sometimes close to zero experience with social networking, PPC, SEO, etc. -- and that's a major consideration, because how do you write and prepare a contract if you have no clue what needs to be done?  If this is the case, get on your horse and start learning or contract with someone experience to assist in the hiring process -- that single decision will help avoid a TON of future issues. Next, social is a "language" so forget people or firms from overseas unless you can Skype/Facetime with them (and remember that just because the person or team you spoke to seemed great, often the actual people doing the work are behind the scenes -- and hidden from you, the client). Social always needs to stress quality and clarity over volume. On top of that, creativity is KEY -- anyone can post useless or extremely boring content and many social media "experts" will take your money to handle the grunt work, but the planning, creativity and content creation along with design work is all key to any effective social media program (and not all social media networks may be highly effective for your specific business niche/industry). Getting back to your question -- go through the reputable online job sites and see what other companies are posting when it comes to hiring social media managers. Then see where you think your needs fall in line. Ask yourself if you want to start off small, "go big" and push out content heavy and fast, etc. -- the best way to hire a social media manager is to ask these key questions and answer them BEFORE you even post your job online. We handle a lot of social for clients and each situation is quite unique, as are the budgets, workloads involved, etc. Just remember that the more you know as a business owner, the better -- and the beauty of the web along with books on Amazon, is that there's nothing stopping you from learning quickly and building a solid foundation for your business. Feel free to DM if you have additional questions -- and good luck!

(more) Read through the existing answers and some key points missed.  If you're on Windows 7, don't sweat it but you must pay attention to your network and other factors ASAP because the security of your business is only as strong as its weakest link.  Make sure you have a true firewall protecting your entire business location(s) -- that means hardware-based firewall such as Sonicwall, Cisco, etc.  If you're one of the many (ridiculously many) small businesses that uses Comcast or Verizon and assumes there's security on their end -- you're WRONG.  And using only a software-based security application such as Norton, Kaspersky, etc. isn't strong enough security (or even close).  That's step one.  On top of that, then you make sure every device is protected with Norton, Kaspersky, etc. (including Macs).  Continuing with a layered approach, make sure you're using the latest browsers such as Firefox -- arguably one of the most secure on Windows 7, 10, etc. That decision alone is key because browsers such as IE, Chrome, etc. are not nearly as secure -- plus plugins can make FF even more secure along with customizing the settings to protect each device. Next, consider a VPN such as Nord for your connections and if you have multiple offices definitely utilize VPN connections between offices.  By now you're getting the sense (and for good reason), that Windows 7 is less of a concern than everything I've detailed so far -- because if hackers or malware reaches your devices, it's TOO LATE. I could go on for a while but let me just say that data backup is another major component -- and remember that it must be off-site backup, encrypted and reliable -- and you need to check the status (good systems will email you daily a report). Don't ignore any of the above issues and by making your network as rock solid and secure as possible while having your data backed up in two or more unique locations off-site, you'll be in a good position to not worry about Windows 7 at all. Good luck!

From an organic search perspective, get to work on that in parallel -- even your profile on Alignable is ranking higher than your company -- in fact, a bunch of other companies rank higher when searching for YOUR company name on Google (not good), such as Highland Cap Management, Highland Cap Brokerage, etc. Maybe you are a brand new company and if so then lots for you to focus on. The site is also slow and even the first form of the app is slow to respond -- try to view your new website as end-users will -- empathize with different types of visitors -- and answer their questions before they ask -- and answer with content -- simple, clean content -- and make sure that the content makes sense. Check out competitor sites and remember that mobile needs to address the same visitors.  Good luck!
