I lived in the DMV area most of my life. My parents have been married for almost 40 years and I'm the oldest of 4 children, so relationships are very important to me. I've been through a lot of trials and tribulations in my adult life. I've been kicked out of college twice, I was engaged but I broke it off, and I had a very unhealthy fear of failure. As I've grown up and worked in the retail, grocery, and service industries, a lot of the people I worked with were in their 50s, 60s, and 70s. I always wondered "shouldn't they be retired?" I was naive and I didn't know anything about retirement. When I was first introduced to the business, the light bulb turned on and it all made sense. It's not that people don't want to retire, they can't afford to retire. Most people have to work until they die in this economy. I got into this business to pay back all those potential retirees in my journey because if it wasn't for them I wouldn't be here. I love what I do and why I do it!
