Discipline ! From experience, I think that discipline is more important than motivation. If you have to do something, let's say wake up early, just set up your alarm and get off your bed within 5 seconds, don't think ! Just do what you have to do, when you have to do whether you want to do it... (more) Discipline ! From experience, I think that discipline is more important than motivation. If you have to do something, let's say wake up early, just set up your alarm and get off your bed within 5 seconds, don't think ! Just do what you have to do, when you have to do whether you want to do it or not. That said, you also need to have goals and execution plan. One this is done, it's easier to get there ! Good luck ;)

How long did it take for your business to become successful and what were somethings you learned on what not to do?

The most important thing is to know what you want to do and what service(s) you offer. Be very precise with that, for you first and for your customers. Then you should have a map, a vision, make it all clear on paper (yes paper ! :).It took me 3 years to really get things going... but almost 10...
