As far as online goes, and depending on what the product is, marketing medical products using Google AdWords or Facebook can be difficult because of restrictions on medical products. This is particularly true if the product is new and is something no-one has used before.

Short answer, build a "tribe" of people who love this thing, and get them to talk about it and share it.
