In 2008, during the financial crisis, a group of engineers from the same church began discussing a simple question:
What would happen if the grid went down during a major crisis?
They wanted a reliable way to keep their families safe and their homes powered if something unexpected occurred. The team began researching backup power solutions, hoping to find something that was easy to use, affordable, and powered by renewable energy.
What they found instead was disappointing. Existing systems were often expensive, complicated to install, or dependent on fossil fuels.
So the engineers decided to build their own solution.
Drawing on their backgrounds in power electronics and defense technology, they began developing a system that combined solar generation with battery storage in a single, integrated platform.
