The Campbell Brothers started performing with The Irish Rovers and John McDermott around 1992. Their first shows with a full band were in 1995 and they began recording the first Mudmen album in 1997. Things really took off in 1998 when they performed in the Mirvish production "Needfire." This production started everything and led to signing with EMI Records. It was decided by Management and the label that the name should be changed. Robby and Sandy worked as Mudmen for years so they chose Mudmen for their name and have had a great deal of success ever since.
