The largest misconceptions about my industry (and there are plural) is how the buying and selling of real estate works and how the Realtor fits into the equation. How we as Realtor's get paid. That a buyer usually does not pay for our services but they get full representation protecting their best interests. That we are not trustworthy and are working for ourselves and not the client, most are very trustworthy and work hard for the client. And that there is a big difference between a "Realtor" and a "real estate agent". Always seek out the services of a "Realtor", licensed with the National Association as well as the State and bound by "the code of ethics".
