In Alaska, Real Estate is booming! We have a low inventory of homes, and with the Covid protocol of only doing showings for qualified buyers.... well-prices homes in good condition rarely last even a week. Last week I had a buyer that missed out in 4 homes because she “thought about it” over night. The next day all four were pended. Then, Friday, she put an offer on a home. She was 1 of 4 offers on a home that had been on the market 2 days. She wasn’t willing to pay the price it escalated too. Sunday we finally pended a home for her
Buyers are taking advantage of crazy low interest rates and getting out of the rental trap, they are downsizing... realizing their kids moved out 4 years ago and they no longer need 3,000 sf for the two of them....they are getting married, getting divorced, having babies and Being transferred with their jobs. Life is continuing to move forward and people need homes to live in (and possibly work from) while they live and enjoy that life. What an honor to be part of these life changing moments!
I pended 4 properties between June 1st - 8th, referred 3 clients to a team member that needed immediate help and have 3 additional listings going live this week.
it is an amazing time to be involved in my client’s lives and help them find the right home for where they currently are in life!
