At risk today are water breaches, mold growth, decay and the inability to custom fit a shower when custom work is needed. By eliminating the pre-sloped mud base, vinyl pan liner, upper mud bed, paint-on waterproofing membrane and the weep-hole drain, the Wedi system eliminates the risks associated with pan liner cracks, clogged weep-holes and mold growth in mud beds. Water will never penetrate the shower base and will always have proper drainage with the slope pre-manufactured for a consistent pitch. It does not require additional liners, membranes or special tile adhesives to function.
