But the standard is that anything that happens in core, it is up to plugin and theme developers to make sure it is supported. That being said, there is a plugin called "Disable Gutenberg" on wordpress.org that removes it entirely. Just Google search it, it is the first thing that comes up. We've installed on 60+ client sites already :|

(more) Hello - Experience & Knowledge is definitely a key factor, there are so many in the game that get a laptop and think that they can do what we do, but quite often fall flat on getting or producing results. When I meet with a prospect, I have tons of analytical data and case studies to present our case in sales pitches. We benchmark each project to show the bigger picture (as we all know that SEO in not something that is instantaneous), where that specific client was before we worked with them, then show them "true" results over the course of 6-8 months of working with them post-launch of their project. Sometimes you can tell just by a proposal that is given to you, if they don't provide solutions that are not self-evident, most likely they are just "winging it" and just going on what you give them. We have had many clients come to us with a 8-10 page website and say they want to be found in SERP's end up with a 20-30 page website that is optimized soup-to-nuts and wind up ranking 1st page because of the overhaul. I find that most will not offer any recommendations because they are afraid to pitch a higher number and possibly lose the job... those are who you have to steer clear of, especially if it is results you are after. Also, everything starts with a solid foundation (your website), so if you approach someone and their first response is Paid Advertising, run for the hills. If you don't fix your foundational errors first, then everything off-site will not be as effective and could potentially waste thousands of dollars. I have eliminated wasteful spending on paid advertising for a few clients with just redoing their website the correct way... to the point where they don't have any need to do paid advertising because they show up everywhere in SERP's. Now, don't get me wrong, it does come down to the competitiveness of your local market. If you are battling with a competitor for specific keywords and they're spending some money on Content Marketing and SMM, then some additional work is needed. But good solid research can help develop a cost-effective strategy that could get you better positioning.Every client we get (it seems) all have similar stories. "Why should we trust you, the last agency promised us unicorns and rainbows and we ended up with squat!" It's shameful really, and it makes my job that much harder because we run a very transparent and honest ship. So definitely do the leg work and don't be afraid to ask questions.Hope that helps.

This one typically stirs the pot quite a bit in the industry and like others said, if you Google "Wordpress vs. Drupal" you will see argument after argument dating back years about this subject. But like I said, it always comes down to the needs of the project. For small to mid-sized businesses they generally don't need such a large application such as Drupal or Joomla, I have found that it is "overkill" and past clients that have had those platforms find it clunky and hard to use just to add content to their site, whereas WP does an excellent job at it. Now, WP has come a long way in the last decade as a great tool and a great CMS, however the whole "Enterprise Level" CMS argument still continues. There are plenty of Fortune 500 companies using WP as their CMS, but it still does lack in some ways, especially when it comes to User Management, there is still room for improvement to get it to that level.

If your business has a mobile optimized website, then there is no need for an additional app as it would just add additional overhead and maintenance costs. You have to think about your targeted audience and their needs. Make sure that you have the relevant information necessary on your website that would help anyone researching "merchant services" find what they are looking for and easily.

Be warned though, you are "renting" space from these services and when it comes time to leave them, you cannot take your website with you in the same way if you had owned and hosted your own.
