I don't think lazy, just time to recharge after busy days. Being a business owner, small or large, is a mentally demanding position and it can drain you. I will check the messages and see if it is an emergency, if it is, I am on it, but if not, I allow myself time to deal with personal matters on nights and days off.

I would not give any of my business to someone since I have heard bad stories of losing the business, think of Sherri's Berries in case, she hired someone to run the books and gave them a portion of her business and then ended up in a costly lengthy battle for that business she started. (more) I would not give any of my business to someone since I have heard bad stories of losing the business, think of Sherri's Berries in case, she hired someone to run the books and gave them a portion of her business and then ended up in a costly lengthy battle for that business she started. Sadly she lost it. I hire employees to do such tasks. We can't work on and in our businesses at the same time, if you do you will have a hard time. Good employees that are invested and believe in the business are key. Offer them good pay, benefits, training and reward the good behavior. You will find they will often step up to the plate when needed. Let them learn to make decisions on their own, give them power so you can take a day off and they can gain confidence in themselves. Be transparent in your business to the employees and they will reward you in success.

No, I don't charge extra for accepting credit cards and their fees. I would recommend looking at your merchant contract and making sure you are getting the best deal. I only sign for a max. of 2 years, but more often than not I review each year. I use my business banking merchant services and...
