I have not yet attempted to hire any real estate professionals. In my 38 years of military and federal service, I hired many, and fired a few, personnel. The universal quality of my best employees was that they wanted to do meaningful work, often at the expense of their personal comfort. In other words, they put the mission first. If the mission is to sell real estate, then I would not hire people who merely wanted to make money, or a name for themselves. I would hire people who sincerely want to help people negotiate one of the most complicated and expensive undertakings many will ever face, the purchase or sale of a home.
