Referrals (word of mouth) and Social Media (FB, Twitter, Instagram) have all done wonders for us. Direct mail doesn't seem to be a good resource for catering in my opinion.

I really enjoy everything about my family’s thanksgiving meal, but I have to say that my favorite part of it is a tradition ..... every year we have stuffed mushrooms and honestly I don’t think Thanksgiving would be the same without them

I feel that there are three main areas that can be huge when trying to generate leads
referrals - as I am working an event I try to speak with as many people as possible and if anyone asks about who catered or about the catering I introduce myself, give them a business card and let them know...

social media - Facebook, Instagram & Linkdin all are very easy ways to get your name (along with pictures) out there and generate more business
old customers - reaching out to old customers can be huge as it makes them feel important that you remembered them, and they may be quicker to go with you for their upcoming events as they are comfortable with you and by reaching out you may also remind them of something they had at one of your events that they really enjoyed and may want to feature at their party
