Zing started with 3 co-founders, locked in the Hillary Room in the Claremont Resort & Club, Berkley, CA. We kicked around ideas on disruptive 5G enabled applications, combining Networking, Multimedia, Automation, Gaming, Medicine, and others. We started by building an all-in-one network appliance/application that was centered on Cloud Gaming. Part way into the journey, we pivoted the company to address the needs of SMBs, solving two of the biggest pain points. These are 1) Un-interrupted Broadband access, and 2) low/no cost local IT support. The latter is a $100B USD market in North America, and our SAM is $20B.
