Hello, I am proud to be the Executive Director, President, and Founder of US Horse Welfare and Rescue Org., a 501(c)3 in Avon, CT. Our mission is to advocate for America's horses through education of public and horse owners about inherent risks to our horses, provide supportive programs to try to keep horses from slaughter and rescue horses at risk of shipping to slaughter, often from what we refer to as kill lots.

I founded this organization after uncovering the horrific truth of the horse slaughter industry and realizing how few Americans know about this underground horse slaughter pipeline. Horses sent to slaughter are the same horses that took someone to blue ribbon status or that took care of our kids so well at camp all summer. At summer's end, these ponies and horses have no jobs. Most end up at slaughter. I realized rescuing alone was not enough. We need to get ahead of the curve and that can only be accomplished by educating Americans and pushing for legislation t ban the practice.
