I feel that growing your community is huge and very helpful, also building new re;relationships sometimes takes you out of your community, so you have to be prepared for that as well. You always want to find individuals to turn into clients and communicate with other business owners for the positives and negatives that come along with the opportunities.
All in all, you need to be very resourceful and understanding that if your trying to grow your business, you need to look at every opportunity to speak with an individual is an opportunity to create a potential client and help also grow as they talk to others. I am a firm believer of feet to the ground and market yourself, as well as it never hurts to know people. When I am out and on the move, I speak to everyone, whether they are a potential client or just a business person in the area. I give a card, maybe a 1-2 minute conversation of what my business does and I thank them for their time and I move on. Your own hard work and individual stride for achievement and success will speak for itself over time. I am truly an example of this. Also I again would mention that it never hurts to know people. A conversation with a total stranger today, can possibly lead to a job or client opportunity in the future.
