As a starting point, commission can vary from Realtor to Realtor. My experience is 5% (2.5% to the Seller Agent and 2.5% to the Buyer Agent). And there are some Realtors who will negotiate the commission with you. But you should be cautious, as 'you get what you pay for' still applies....

And there are some Realtors who will negotiate the commission with you. But you should be cautious, as 'you get what you pay for' still applies. Selling a home, particularly in the current market, can be a challenge. If a Realtor is listing your home for a bargain basement commission, you may find they arent trying very hard to get your home sold. And a home that sits on the market too long can work against you in the long run. I hope this helps. Best of luck!
