Today I asked AI to create "a Nantucket cottage in the style of Robert Scott Visualization LLC."
My first thought: Should I be flattered...or concerned?
I immediately see roof geometry, windows and construction details that wouldn't exist in one of my models. But as a concept, it communicates the design remarkably well.
So I'm curious: Has AI become the new pencil sketch? Is an image like this valuable enough to justify developing it into an accurate 3D model, matching floor plan, and buildable design? Or is "good enough" becoming the new standard for early design?
