In 1991 we moved into a house with an operating vineyard across the road. With approval of the owner, I began to glean grapes after harvest and make 5 to 10 cases of wine for family and friends. After 10years, I established Sleeping Dog Wines and started to purchase grapes, producing 300 cases our first year. We've remained small, have a wonderful relationship with our grower, and bottle age our reds for up to ten years prior to release, allowing them to develop more integrated flavors.
