Working in IT and Operations for us is always exciting. From being tasked to build a registration system for a Kawasaki event on iPads with a few days notice, to creating a solution for a video and effects team to collaboratively edit 4K footage — long before anything turnkey was available. That’s exhilaration, and that’s what we love.
My teams and I accomplish the standard IT and Operations tasks: Moving a living, breathing Agency across Chicago in the middle of the night with no down time. Virtualizing a server environment, under budget of course. Being mentioned in the Wall Street Journal for our WiFi infrastructure deployment. Assisting Adobe when launching their Creative Cloud offerings to better suit creative agencies. Building a new facility from scratch, walls included, and planning that space for growth and inspiration. And of course, rescuing laptops, phones, and tablets and getting them to rise from the dead whenever and wherever the creative juices might be flowing.
However, there is possibly the greatest accomplishment; applying a fearless, inventive and especially humanistic approach that supports our colleagues and clients. Decades of experience, in multiple languages (I speak English and Acronym fluently), across a wide variety of clients enables me to recognize when we can leverage something out of the box, or need to brave the unexplored and look for a new and inventive approach.
