Hospice is a benefit under most major insurance plans offering comfort and support care when a potential terminal condition is diagnosed. The care is provided by an inter disciplinary team consisting of an RN, Social Worker, Chaplain, Certified Nursing Assistant and Medical Director that create a plan based on patient’s wishes for comfort care. Holisticare hospice incorporates holistic modalities into the plan if patient wishes. These modalities in massage, reiki, music therapy, aromatherapy essential oils and pet therapy. Often there is no cost for anything that the hospice provides.
