How We Got Started

Our business was founded by 2 brothers a builder and architect who collaborated to form a design build entity in 1990. The first project we undertook was for a neighbor who lived behind the brothers family home or in the backyard. In 2010 one of the brothers decided to explore other opportunities so the company was rebranded as d.a.kinsella company. Today the business is operated by one of the original partners and his sons.

(more) The answer is a minimum wage hike to $15 per hour will force us to raise the cost of our services. A minimum wage hike will initially boost the quality of living for persons performing these jobs. However, we live in a capitalist society and unfortunately the wage hike will drive cost for goods and services up. The wage scale is symbiotic in a capitalist's society. Evidence of this relationships is the number of manufacturing jobs which have gone overseas in the past 2 decades because of cost.  In order for the US economy to function and remain competitive with other industrial nations, manufacturing and service industries require a scaled wages to offset cost of goods and services for sale or provided to meet the demands of mass consumption globally.  In order to stay competitive our economy depends on persons doing these less skilled jobs.  On the positive side, the wage hike gives our younger persons a chance to enter the work force to gain some basic skills, prove themselves and build their experience in the work force. .   Solutions to this enigma maybe in the US's immigration policies and/or a greater use of artificial intelligence and robotics with retraining of this segment of the population.

We have used Auto Cad for years and now Autodesk is no longer supporting it-but you can now lease it.
