About Us

I help growth-oriented entrepreneurs and executives write and publish a book to create authority, generate leads & market their business using the Indie Advantage.

I am an experienced business professional with over 20 years in startups (I have started 4 successful businesses), content marketing, and book writing/publishing.

I want to work with you and help you use your talent and magic to write a book that will be the best marketing tool in your toolbox.

At Master Book Builders we bring everything we know and continue to learn about books, writing, publishing, and building an author brand to every project we work on. And we stick around for three months after the book is done, to continue supporting you in your efforts to put it out into the world.

How We Got Started

Years ago I was a print-on-demand book publisher and coach, then I had a short side trip into the online community arena with a successful company that was acquired by a Fortune 500 company. Still, I have always been a writer and dreamer, at heart.

I can help you write and publish a book. I have been a writer for most of my life. I continue to study writing and publishing and bring everything I learn to all of my author projects.

I have always believed in the power of the written word to move mountains.

My work with authors in the early 2000s proved that Indie Publishing was and still is a powerful way to get your message out. Where YOU control all aspects of your project - title, cover design, message, publishing, and marketing.

All I do is support you in those efforts, just as I did all those years ago.

pssst - if you have a book you're just starting and want professional eyeballs to tell you how good it is, and how to get it published, I do Manuscript Assessment too.

Love this question. I took a webinar course last year hosted by Seth Godin and given by Bernadette Jiwa. It was all about storytelling. I loved it and got so much from it! Well worth the investment. I get ideas from commercials on TV. Or movies that I watch and think, "I wonder if they'd done it this way, how that would be."  But as a nonfiction writer, mostly, I write what I know my audience wants to learn. Yes, I do ask them. :-) (more) I get ideas from commercials on TV. Is there a best season? Great question. I don't find any one season better than another. But I can see how summer would be good for me.  (more) Is there a best season? Great question. I don't find any one season better than another. But I can see how summer would be good for me.

I think we all need to take time for ourselves, routinely. I say schedule weekends off where you go out and about or stay at a retreat or visit all the family you've been neglecting. I use it. I use the one online, too. Often I come up with a better word myself, just from being prompted by the  Thesaurus. So, I don't see the harm of it. (more) I use it. I use the one online, too.
