I was once told that many people come into the insurance industry because of tragedy. I didn’t understand it at the time. The death of my grandparents and uncle showed me what happens because of a lack of information or knowledge.

But, when they passed away, they didn’t have adequate to take care of their families. Even though, they each worked hard their whole life and did their best to provide for their family’s well-being.

Then, after watching my father work two jobs my whole life, including retiring from Ford Motor Co., I watched him succumb to Alzheimer’s disease and not have what he wanted to leave for his family.

I made up my mind that if I could help it, I wouldn’t let anyone fall prey to not being fully informed to protect their family, not having to decide whether to pay insurance premiums or pay utility bills. All the while, not taking advantage of saving for the future, because no one showed them.
