About Us

Proud to be CEO of FIRST IN since its inception in 1992!

I continue to consult with real estate agents and brokers, builders and developers, investors and investment groups, and lenders on various phases of their business.

Allow me to either create market research for you, OR to train you on methods to create it on your own! (How I found a zoning change which resulted in two transactions for the same parcel within one year.)

Hire me for individual training for public speaking and improving your presentation skills! (Ace that next listing presentation!)

Retain me to provide custom technology for attracting investors, allowing clients to design proposed rooms and spaces, and builders and brokers to "pre sell" or "pre lease" proposed and under construction properties anywhere in the world! I also work with restaurant owners in "cold weather" cities to make their outdoor patio or beer garden space functional year-round!

Enable me to create fresh and custom branding and content for your real estate related website, blog, videos, and social media!

Engage me to punch up or create your feasibility study, case study, offering memorandum, or property presentation!

Connect with me now, so you will be able to reach out as soon as you need solutions!

We also review proposals each Friday afternoon. Visit us at www.Firstin.com or call us at (847) 510-0613 for more information.

Put our 33 years of industry experience on your team!

How We Got Started

It began in 1992 when we saw the need for more effective marketing of properties and services than what was out there. Our partners back in the 90's included an official publication of the Los Angeles Assn. of Realtors; RE/MAX of Texas (for a Houston TV Home Showcase); and Premier Real Estate Magazine of CT.

Over the years, we have worked with hundreds of agents, brokers, and real estate offices, as well as mortgage lenders and other affiliated services.

In recent years, our services expanded to also include assisting real estate investors and investor groups with everything from credibility packages and feasibility studies to branding, social media and website content, and mail campaigns.

CEO Dave Kohl's radio broadcasting experience continues to contribute greatly with his combined expertise in both public speaking and real estate!

Typical that someone from B of A is more concerned about recommendations and reviews than they seem to be about customer service. (more) Typical that someone from B of A is more concerned about recommendations and reviews than they seem to be about customer service.

It seems to me that most of these sources don't understand my business, and that instead of learning it, they expect me to go along with their advice instead because it's easier for them. I start by listing all of the necessary operating costs, followed by everything else, all in random order. My mission is to place everything on the list in priority order. Once that is done, I draw a line in the middle. The final step is to evaluate everything in the lower half to determine how it can be reduced or eliminated. Even if I don't change a thing, it is helpful to know what to keep an eye on that could be cut.

I think that these unfortunate events have left us prepared for things we never thought could happen from now on. At this point, it's hard to say what "normal" will be over the next few years.
