How We Got Started

In March 2001, we started Net Media Consultants with a simple goal: to help businesses amplify their voices and get the attention they deserve. With five amazing first-time clients trusting us to guide them through the world of media, we quickly began earning a reputation for delivering impactful results. From day one, our focus has been on creating opportunities for our clients to gain valuable exposure—whether it’s through traditional media, online platforms, or social channels. Over the years, we’ve grown alongside our clients, continuously refining our strategies to ensure they get the free air, ink, and buzz needed to thrive. This journey, which began with a handful of relationships, has led to a deep commitment to helping our clients tell their stories in a way that resonates.

First they need to find it.  So you need a good SEO package to your site.  Second, it needs to load fast, under 3 seconds.  Third, it needs to be good on mobile, the new giant in media. Finally, it needs to be relevant to your audience.  Flashy is out like a disco ball. Consider, instead, doing articles about various problems that you solve.  All business should do this.  How does someone know if they are having slight depression or they need to go to a mental health therapist?  You could do a series of these. And then, perhaps, do a small part of how you helped a client.

It's all in the story. People want to "buy into" your story. Have personal stories of the team, how your races will help certain people with MS. What caused you to pick MS as you charity of choice? Have personal stories of the team, how your races will help certain people with MS. What caused you to pick MS as you charity of choice? Have great pictures of people with smiles. Then, pick your crowd sourcing format. Many of the websites are now specialized. GoFundMe is great for sob stories. Kickstarter is for inventors and start ups. Find one that works for your audience. And find your audience. If it's Philly, ask around to see which ones your neighbors use most. And you can now do fund raisers on Facebook, however, I'm not sure if that's limited to non-profits. Hope that gives you a starting point. Blessings, Jube
