How Groups Can Help You Take on New Challenges

With COVID concerns on the rise (hello, Delta variant), many of you are brainstorming ways to prepare your business. Luckily, you don’t have to go it alone. Instead, join a group of like-minded business owners on Alignable to share advice, ask questions, and problem solve. It’s easy—here’s how.

How to Find a Group on Alignable

Finding a group on Alignable is simple. But first, you need to know what types of groups we have so you can make the right choice for your business.

Groups to fit your needs

First off, you can join a group of other business owners in your industry to get a sense of how they’re approaching new challenges. If you’re a baker, for example, you might want to hear how other bakers are increasing their online presence to succeed under the circumstances.

Or you can find a group related to your interests and needs. For example, you might be thinking about how your customers' needs are changing as the Delta variant picks up speed. You could join the Perfecting Customer Service group to get tips for accommodating all types of customers.

Can’t choose? You don’t have to. You can join more than one group to give you great insight and support for whatever your business needs help with.

Now that you have a sense of what kind of groups you can find on Alignable, you can start browsing. Head over to the Groups page to get started.

Once you land there, you’ll see a list of suggested groups that we hand-picked based on what we know about your business. You can scroll through them to see if you’re interested in any.

On the left side of your screen, you’ll see a Find Groups menu with a search bar and a few categories. Here’s what they mean:

  • Suggested groups: Default view of groups we picked just for you
  • Popular groups: Large groups that other members join often
  • Recent: Groups that members recently joined
  • Connections: Groups that the business owners in your network are part of
  • Industry: Groups broken down by industry

You can click on the categories to browse or use the search bar to look for a specific group.

Select a group you’re interested in

Found one you want to know more about? Simply click on the title of the group to take a peek inside.

You can see some of the discussions that are happening, read the About Us to learn more about the group, check out the resources, and decide if it’s the right fit for you.

Join the group and dive right in

If you’re ready to join, hit the purple Join Group button. Then, read through and accept the Rules and Guidelines. Congrats! You’re officially a group member.

Now, you can start chatting with other members. You can post questions, share advice, participate in events, and more. Just be sure to focus on helping other members, instead of promoting your own business.

I like the groups, just feels a little spammy like other platform. when you ask a question you get tons of comments of people pitching you rather than giving advice.

Groups has been AMAZING!!!!  The key is attending the events and getting to know people and then hopefully doing a one on one and seeing how to best help each other.

I am looking for Owner/Operator or hot shot drivers in a group. I believe that I can help them

I think working in groups can allow you to learn more about others growth and also what obstacles they faced and how they handled them. You can also get opportunities to share your story to help others grow as well.

try BNI...check your local city for a chapter...if you're in south puget sound...check us out at Auburns Movers and Shakers...PM me for a link to visitors day so you can see how referral networks and BNI works...

There is a wide variety of top-notch groups across Alignable. I have learned a lot by participating; there is a lot of knowledge shared in some of these discussions.

Kayce Ofodile has over forty years of Clinical Christian Counseling experience. Needs referrals for marital, pre-marital issues.

I think the groups are great! Not only can we learn from one another but we can help each other grow. it's not always about selling, its about building a connection.
