Search Engine Optimization
As a business owner, your fundamental goal is to make sales and collect and keep revenues. And a basic rule of getting sales and revenues is that you want to attract people who are ready, willing and able to buy.
Google gets its search results in front of a lot of consumers by being the world's #1 search engine. It's #1 because it delivers the best answers to the questions that users ask most.
Increasingly, Large Language Model (LLM) vendors like OpenAI are providing zero-click responses to search queries, bypassing clickthroughs to websites. Alarmists are predicting that this will soon result in the Death of SEO. But that's not the case at all. Right now, the sum of requests by all AI user agents are only about 30% of Google's query volume. And these AI search tools depend on the Google search index for their data. That means: if your pages don't rank in Google's index, AI search agents won't see them.
For businesses without unlimited advertising budgets - like mine, maybe yours - the key SEO strategy is to attract queries that are (1) more specific to your business so have less competition and (2) signal purchase intent, so your traffic comes from people looking to buy what you're selling.
I can help you with that.
