The Embodied Woman

About Us

The Embodied Woman offers trauma-informed, nervous system-centered healing experiences for women seeking deeper connection with themselves, their bodies, and their inner wisdom. Through somatic practices, Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed work, sound healing, embodiment, sacred circles, workshops, and transformational experiences, this work supports women in healing, self-discovery, and authentic expression.

Founded by Emma Rose Sheldon, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, The Embodied Woman bridges clinical understanding with holistic and embodied approaches to healing. Offerings are designed to help women reconnect with their voice, regulate the nervous system, process emotional wounds, deepen self-awareness, and cultivate a more grounded and empowered relationship with themselves.

Services and experiences may include somatic healing sessions, embodiment practices, sound baths, women’s circles, workshops, retreats, and integrative support for personal growth and transformation.

The intention of this work is to create spaces where women feel safe to soften, awaken, heal, express, and return home to themselves.

How We Got Started

The Embodied Woman was born through Emma Rose Sheldon’s personal and professional journey of healing, self-discovery, and embodiment. After years of working as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Emma began recognizing the deep need for approaches that honored not only the mind, but also the body, nervous system, voice, emotions, creativity, and spirit.

Through her own healing journey and extensive work with women, she saw how many people were longing to reconnect with themselves beyond survival mode, perfectionism, and disconnection from the body. This inspired the creation of spaces that blend trauma-informed care with somatic healing, Internal Family Systems-informed work, embodiment practices, sound healing, movement, and sacred community.

What began as a vision for deeper healing and authentic connection has evolved into The Embodied Woman, a space devoted to helping women return to themselves with greater presence, self-trust, expression, and wholeness.
