How We Got Started

Founded in Atlanta, GA, Dragoons Media is a veteran owned advertising agency on a mission to partner with the next generation of industry giants.

Dragoons is actually a military term referring to the cavalry. Given that the founder, Justin Hackney, deployed with the 1st Cavalry Division to Mosul, Iraq back in 2008, he saw it fitting that the firm take on some of those military values.

We're passionate about what we do and we're eager to be the front lines of your business. Dragoons always want to charge in and save the day. That's why our company motto is "here comes the cavalry".

I would recommend creating a click funnel that gives people a "buy in" for a very minimal cost. That cost may even be just an email. Then, through pixel tracking, I would send follow up ads and emails getting them to sign up for your event. Create a referral program so people are incentivized to share your event. And put on smaller webinars before the actual event to get some dialogue flowing. Create hashtags so people can follow that dialogue even if they miss the webinar. But to make a long story short, you need to pay for Facebook ads.

One of my clients has ran some of their products on Groupon and they were not pleased with the results. I did not manage this particular campaign for them so I don't know the details. However, they told me that they made them offer extremely high discounts, which made it not worth their time and...
