About Us

At Soaring Seniors, Unlimited, we turn the 'aging' story on its head! Led by Rita, a long-term endurance athlete with a doctorate and decades as an RN, we empower those 50+ to reclaim vitality. With strategies from Rita's life, experience, and her book, "Soaring Seniors," we make every year count. Let's defy age together and love life in expansive energy, contribution and joy!

As a Soaring Senior, I am saddened by so many people I see in my age group (and younger) who are living less vibrant lives than they could be. We live in a time when people expect to live 4Ds...Diminishment, Deterioration, Disease, Death as seniors. The message is aging is out of our control! NOT! There is so much we can do to not only slow our biological ageing, but even reverse it. What if we can be centenarians living expansive lives that create joy? What if our children don't need to worry about us as we age? What if we can love our lives no matter how many trips we've made around the sun?

How We Got Started

In my early 50s, I began to notice as I checked out of the supermarket, those bagging my groceries were putting fewer items in a bag than when I was younger. My conclusion was that seeing my hair and facial wrinkles they inferred that I was in 4Ds. Having been a lifelong athlete, I got passionate about helping people get inspired and take action...InspirACTion.

I had attitudes and skills from years of athletic activity that I knew would be of benefit. I had done the Hawaii Ironman, climbed to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro and solo-through-hiked the Appalachian Trail. I was a BHAG Lady (Big Hairy Audacicous Goals). Those skills and attitudes are transferable! My passion is inspiring others to take action and live with more joy and prosperity!

It's a fast start for reducing one's taxes; plus it offers great opportunities for building an additional income stream. If there is one take away from 2020 for me, it is always have more than on income stream. My home-based business through Univera was a Covid casualty as the company decided to shift from a social marketing strategy to an e commerce strategy. In one instant, an income source gone! Amazingly quickly, I found another home-based business home with LifeWave.com/DrRita. Lifewave has a breakthrough technology for boosting stem cells, noninvasively and affordably. At 78, using LifeWave patches for almost a month, I am seeing great changes in my health, more energy, better sleep, and less pain. With the help of both Univera and LifeWave, I am literally walking my talk. Between August 1 and 27, I hiked 275.63 miles. I fervenly want others to be able to develop amazing capacity for activity and joy. With LifeWave, I get to marry two passions helping seniors soar and live full-out and keeping multiple sources on income streaming into my bank accounts.

In my not-quite 60 years of being an RN, I have never witnessed so much interest in health. Our current situation has created an acute awareness of how vitally important our personal health is.  My Univera income has grown and it will continue to grow; I am so grateful for that. There are 4 reasons why folks get involved with Univera: 1) health, 2) wealth, the ability to create residual income, 3) tax advantages (love those!) and 4) time and money freedom. I encourage everyone to have/start a home-based business based in a solid company whose products you use and love. Celebrating physical and fiscal fitness!

You are doing what you can from where you are with what you have!  A suggestion is to check out getting Legal Shield membership; in my experience, the best buy in legal services. Located in every state, they offer a full array of legal sevices, including a free will for you.  The other thing I see you really need is a succession plan for your revised and revived successful magazine. Do you have supportive people around you as you go through such profound changes? Perhaps a coach, trusted friends, a spirtual family where you can fully express the emotions and get practical suggestions. Holding you in the energies of competence and success! Rita losee, ScD, RN

My suggestion would be to find/create a career in an area of your passion.Sharing information about our passions brings a very different energy to the table; I suspect when you are talking about your favorite recreational activity, your introversion lessens. Extroversion/introversion is not an either or thing; there are variations of degree that one can have. I don't think your self-definition is helping you in any way. What if you decided to be a "recovering introvert, one who is rapidly increasing my comfort in all my roles, both social and business?"  Best, as you move into new and greater success!

As a nurse with very long-term multiple health challenges, I, as would most Americans, went to my doctor(s) who practiced within the confines of the medical model. For well over a decade and a half, I did everything they recommended to get well -- and not only didn't get well. I got worse and worse and worse until my life was gone, with the execption of breathing and eating. Totally disabled, I had to ask for help to get banking, grocery shopping, and library errands done. I couldn't work, exercies, socialize, or even comprehend even the simplest reading. A nurse colleague started me taking a combination of plant-based cellular regeneration products, products that are extensively subjested to pharmaceutical research. Within two months I had a life!  Two and a half years later, I have a LIFE!! I am running (age 76) 2 - 3 times a week, working part-time at a local ropes course, and finishing a book: Soaring Seniors: Stories, Steps and Strategies for Living Full-Out After Fifty, Sixty, Seventy... I am also coaching orther seniors or close-to-being-seniors in the jouous experience of living full-out!
