How long did it take for your business to become successful and what were somethings you learned on what not to do?

I was a professional finisher for years and had been retired from that for about 5 years. I missed the creativity so I decided I would teach the DIY market.
I have been doing this now for about 10 years. Being persistent, determined and never give up. Sometimes it is ok to take a break, reorganize and move onward and upward.
